Obituary of Carmine Ricciardi
Carmine Ricciardi, 87, passed away at his home on Saturday March 18, 2023. Carmine was born in Jersey City, NJ; he resided in Brooklyn, NY and Old Bridge, NJ, before moving to The Fairways in Lakewood, NJ, where he has resided for the past twenty two years. Carmine was employed by the Associated Press for thirty years, retiring in 2000. During his retirement he worked part time at Lakewood Country Club, where he also enjoyed playing many rounds of golf with his friends. He was passionate about photography and took beautiful photos of the many places he traveled to with his wife and friends. Carmine was also an avid New York Mets fan and New York Giants fan.
Carmine is preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty six years, Eleanor Ricciardi, his brother, Salvatore Ricciardi, and his sister, Ann Santapola.
Carmine is survived by his two daughters, Christine Hohwald and her husband Steve of Milltown, NJ, Susan Wei of Manalapan, NJ, and his three grandchildren, Elizabeth Wei, Alexis Hohwald and Brendan Wei.
Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 am on Saturday March 25, 2023, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 10:15 am from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 11:00 am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
