Obituary of Diane Zetlin

Diane Lee Zetlin, 81, passed away on Friday March 17, 2023, in Matawan, NJ.  Diane was born in Newark, NJ, she resided in Avenel, NJ before moving to North Brunswick, NJ to be closer to her son and grandchildren.  Diane held various jobs throughout her life and retired as a waitress in 2004 at the age of sixty two.  Diane’s greatest interest in her later years, was spending time with her grandchildren.  She also loved to watch Hallmark movies, read, cook, and play the lottery (not necessarily in that order). 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward, and Ann Marie (Breznai) Zetlin, her sister Janice Zetlin, who passed at a young age, and sadly, Diane never got over the sudden death of her son Thomas Carrick, who passed in 2004.   

Diane is survived by her son David M. Carrick and his wife Ann Marie, her grandchildren, Thomas Romano and his wife Laureen, Courtney Carrick, Kaitlyn Carrick, her great grandchildren Luke and Mary Romano, her brother, Edward Zetlin and his wife Jan, her many cousins, extended family members and friends. 

Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 pm on Tuesday March 21, 2023, and 8:30-9:15 am on Wednesday March 22, 2023, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 9:15 am on Wednesday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:00 am at St. Cecilia’s RC Church, 10 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction, NJ  08852  followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.
