Obituary of William Massi

William ('Bill') Massi, 71, of Monroe Twp. passed away at his home on Friday, February 10, 2023 with his wife of 49 years, Denise, by his side.  Bill was born on July 30, 1951 and was raised in Brooklyn, NY.  He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Lehman College in Bronx, NY.  Bill and Denise married in Brooklyn in 1973 before moving to Staten Island where they raised their two children.  He has resided in Monroe Twp. since 2016.

Bill is remembered as a man of strength, integrity, and devotion, and even as an occasional prankster with an endless supply of 'dad' jokes.  He took great care of those around him.  He stayed active physically and mentally every day through cycling, taking on seemingly impossible puzzles and projects, and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. 

He is survived and celebrated by many, including his wife Denise Massi of Monroe Township, daughter Crista Dell Elba and her husband Peter of Manalapan, son William A. Massi and his wife Victoria Joyce of Hoboken, sister Annette Cama and her husband Charles of Staten Island, NY, grandsons Salvatore and Nicholas Dell Elba of Manalapan, and many other extended family members.

Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday, February 13, 2023 and from 8:45am to 9:15am on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831.  Funeral services will begin at 9:15am from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831.  Interment will follow in the Cemetery of the Resurrection, Staten Island, NY.
