Obituary of Anthony Mancini, Sr.
Anthony Mancini, Sr. passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at his home in Rahway. He was 71 years old. Tony was born in Jersey City. He was raised in West New York and resided there until moving to Monroe Twp. in 1986. He has lived in Rahway since 2003. He was a fishmonger and owned and operated his own business, Clark Fish Market, in Clark until his retirement in 2011. Tony loved cooking, reading historical non-fiction, fishing, and making people laugh. He was most happy when he was with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Felice and Emma (DiClemente) Mancini, and one brother-in-law, Matteo D'Elia.
He is survived by his three children, Mary Howroyd and her husband Ben of Jackson, Tina Lucas and her husband Justin of Bayville, Anthony Mancini, Jr. of Monroe Twp., and their mother Debra Mancini. He is also survived by four siblings, Pasquale Mancini of Ridgefield, Maria D'Elia of Marlton, John Mancini and his wife Linda of Wanaque, and Peter Mancini and his wife Amanda of Manalapan, four grandchildren, Joseph, Abigail, Julia, and Andrew, the Smolar and Mannino families, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral service will begin at the conclusion of the visiting hours at 3:00pm at the funeral home.
