Obituary of Richard Quane

Richard M. Quane passed away on January 5,2023 at age 83. Born in New York City, he graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School in Bronx, NY. He earned a Bachelors degree from Manhattan College, a Masters degree from Fordham University, and a Ph.D from Rutgers University. He previously resided in Jackson, Mount Laurel, Chesterfield and resided in Monroe since 2005. He ended his career with a private psychology practice in Moorestown, NJ. In his free time he enjoyed golf, travel and owned multiple race horses. He was an avid Rutgers Scarlet Knights sports fan and had Rutgers football season tickets for over 30 years.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Catherine Quann, brother Denis Quane, sister-in-law Liza Quane, and brother-in-law Louis Luceri.

He is survived by his loving wife Alma of 58 years, his two daughters, Catherine McTigue and husband Cronin, Theresa Bell and husband Jon, five grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew McTigue and Shane, Conor and Kevin Bell, his sister Anna Desharnais and husband Desy, his brother Michael Quane, sister-in-law Josephine Luceri, nieces and nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 am on Monday January 9, 2023 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 10:15 am from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 11:00 am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum - South Brunswick.
