Obituary of Theodore W. Kachel

Please share a memory of Theodore to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Theodore William Kachel, son of the late Loraine M. Kachel and Theodore V. Kachel was born October 11th, 1966 in Jersey City New Jersey.

Ted is survived by his sons who were his Pride and Joy: Ryan and Brandon Kachel, his daughter-in-law (Ryan’s Wife) Jenna Kachel, significant other Marilyn “Lola” Monroig, Sister Andrea and husband Sal Prinzivalli (who was also Ted’s Best Friend), his niece’s Daniella, Giuliana, his nephew Sal Prinzivalli, Ted’s Aunt Carol Mueller, his Uncle Larry Mazzuchetti, Ryan and Brandon's mother, Lisa Intoci and her husband Joe, and many amazing cousins and friends that he called family, all of which he adored and cherished spending time with.

Ted was raised and grew up in North Brunswick, NJ. He made friendships and memories that would last a life time. Ted attended Saint Joseph’s high school in Metuchen, NJ and Saint John’s University in Staten Island, NY where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Science. Ted began a successful 30 year career with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals where he gained vast experience in multiple roles, and was continuously promoted year after year and received numerous accolades.  Ted was an accomplished professional within the Pfizer Organization and his final Leadership role before retiring in April of 2022 was Director, sales Operations, and compliance. Ted was always known to be a hard working, dedicated, passionate and a perseverant professional. He adored his coworkers that he met along the way and they became his Pfizer Family.

Ted’s love for the Jersey shore began as a young child when his  mother Loraine and Aunt Carol would organize annual family July 4th vacations at the beach. This family tradition led to his long time dream and goal of purchasing a family owned beach house in Long Beach Island, NJ with his mother Loraine, Sister Andrea and her husband Sal. Ted’s Love for the Salt Life eventually brought him to move from North Brunswick to his forever home that he built on the Lagoon in Manahawkin, NJ. Ted enjoyed every summer to the fullest with his family at the house on LBI and on his lagoon in Manahawkin. Each weekend you would find him soaking in the sun and salty air.

Family was the most important thing to Ted. Ryan and Brandon were his world and he will forever be remembered as being the most dedicated and greatest father. The father/son bond that they shared was truly one of a kind.

Ted’s favorite past time was cruising on the family boat “Salted” around Barnegat Bay while adventuring and exploring on the water with his sons and family including his mother Loraine, sister Andrea, brother Sal, nieces Daniella and Giuliana, his nephew Sal, and daughter-in-law Jenna (As well as with any other family members or friends that were always welcome to join).

Ted always found a way to make people laugh and his whit and comedic lines will never be forgotten. He was resilient in every task he was challenged with and was everyone’s biggest cheerleader when they needed a boost.

Ted was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure and his Legacy will live on in all of us forever.
