Obituary of John F Nemeth

John F. Nemeth, 78, died peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday December 21, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.  John was born in the Bronx, NY, and was raised in Elmwood Park, NJ, and has resided in Monroe Township, since 1983.  He attended The New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.  John proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, holding the rank of Captain, during the Vietnam War.  John was employed by NY Telephone, in Repair and Installation Operations in Manhattan, and later served as Vice President of Operations at Global Broad Band.  John was a member of VFW Post 4589 and the American Legion. He loved his family, friends, music, football, baseball, carpentry, and landscaping to name a few.

John is preceded in death by his parents John and Gladys Nemeth and granddaughter, Ashley Delapaz.  

John is survived by his loving wife of forty years Gail Nemeth of Monroe Township, NJ, his two sons, John Nemeth and his significant other Eva Carafello of Englishtown, NJ, David Nemeth of Monroe Township, NJ, his two daughters, Kimberley Delapaz and her husband Angel of Albrightsville, PA, Jennifer Flatley of Jackson, NJ, his brother, Frank Nemeth and his wife Donna of Elmwood Park, NJ, his two sisters Linda Sommer and her husband Steve of Lutz, FL., Valerie Herring of Lexington, KY., his six grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Jackie, Randy, Mia, Derek, his great grandson, Chase, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, and from 9:00am to 9:45am on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.  Funeral services will begin at 9:45am on Wednesday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church 333 Rt. 18 South Old Bridge, NJ 08857 followed by Interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, NJ.
