Obituary of Maria Cruz

Maria Cruz, 95, passed away on December 1, 2022, at her residence in Monroe Township, NJ.  Maria was born and raised in Fusagasugá, Colombia. She raised her family in Bogota, Colombia until she came to the United States in 2000, where she resided in Manalapan Township, NJ, before moving to Monroe Township, NJ, two years ago.  Maria enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting, power walking, and making the most important meal of the day, breakfast. 

Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Cruz (1993).    

Maria is survived by her three sons, Jorge Cruz (Angelica) of Monmouth Junction, NJ, Samuel Cruz (Gloria) of East Brunswick, NJ, Fabio Cruz of Bogota, Colombia, four daughters, Clara Coy (Jorge) of Monroe Township, NJ, Dora Cruz of East Brunswick, NJ, Amparo Cruz of Monroe Township, NJ, Yolanda Galarza (Julio) of Manalapan, NJ, twelve grandchildren, Johana, Stephanie, Maria Paula, David, Monica, Arthur, Vanessa, Julian, Daniel, Diana, Natalia, Tomas, seven great-grandchildren, Javed, Alejandro, Gabriella, Joaquin, Camilla, Gael, Oliver and extended family members and friends. 

Visitation will be from 1pm – 2pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.  Funeral services will begin at 2pm.
