Obituary of Eileen Benway

Eileen (Farnish) Benway passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at her home in Concordia, Monroe Twp.  She was 80 years old.  Mrs. Benway was born in Hazelton, PA.  She later lived in Jersey City, Scotch Plains, and East Brunswick before moving to Concordia, Monroe Twp. in 1997.  She began her career in healthcare and became a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Jersey City.  Later in her life, she earned her Real Estate License and worked for Century 21 in East Brunswick.  She treasured the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Even though Eileen suffered in regard to her health, she kept her faith in God and remained at peace through her last days.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Alfred Benway of Concordia, Monroe Twp., three children, Alan Benway and his wife Jodi of Dallas, TX, Mark Benway and his wife Kim of Riverdale, and Lynn Zolovick and her husband Michael of Flemington, one sister, Lorraine Barth and her husband Fred of Jersey City, one brother, John Farnish and his wife Barbara of Old Bridge, eight grandchildren, Gavin, Ross, Dylan, Destiny, Tyler, Kaylee, Chloe, and Sarah, and many other extended family members.

Visitation will be from 2-6pm on Sunday, November 20, 2022 and from 8:45am to 9:15am on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.  Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Monday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by Interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick Twp.
