Obituary of Bronislaw F. Konopacky

Bronislaw F. (Ben) Konopacky, 91, of Monroe Twp. passed away on Thursday October 27, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.  Ben was born and raised in South River.  He lived there for most of his life before moving to Edison and finally settling in Stonebridge, Monroe Twp. 14 years ago.  Ben proudly served his country in the Naval Reserves and the US Army during the Korean War.  He was employed as a HVAC mechanic for G.M. Fantel in New Brunswick, working his way up to supervisor. He retired from his HVAC career out of Active Conditioning in Edison 26 years ago.  Ben was a member of the Edison Volunteer First Aid Squad for 35 years and the Local 9 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.  He was an active fisherman, loved boating, tinkering with cars, loved baking bread and cooking.  He was a talented carpenter, building his first home where he resided for 50 years. 

Ben was preceded in death by his son, Keith Konopacky (2020), one brother, Eugene Konopacki.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Joan (Holtz) Konopacky of Monroe Twp., two daughters, Karen Konopacky of Piscataway and Donna Adinolfi and her husband Dean of Jobstown, one sister, Dorothy Konopacki of Ohio and three granddaughters: Marisa Migliaccio and her husband Daniel, Lisa Adinolfi and Teresa Adinolfi.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family members.  

Visitation will be 10:00 am - 11:45 am on Monday October 31, 2022 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 - 732-521-0555 - www.demarcofuneralhome.com.  A catholic blessing will be 11:45 am at the conclusion of the visiting hours followed by entombment in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.
