Stephen Tumminia, 78, of Monroe Twp. passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2022 at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick.  Stephen was born and raised in Brooklyn.  He lived in Staten Island, Danvers, MA, East Brunswick and finally settled in Monroe Twp. in 2009.  He proudly served his country in the US Navy and continued to serve in the Navy Reserves for many years.  Stephen was a 4th Degree Knight for Council #14658 at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church where he was an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister.   He was a member of the Italian American Club, the Civic Club, and the Senior Social Club at Greenbriar, an avid model train enthusiast and an expert coin collector.  Stephen loved the beach, especially vacationing in Cape May in the summers.  Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.  

Stephen was preceded in death by his first wife, Vincenza O. Tumminia (2014).

He is survived by his current wife, MaryAnn Kosc of Monroe Twp., two daughters: Danielle Dudas and her husband David of Linden and Claudine Caggiano and her husband Antonio of Helmetta, four grandchildren: David John Jr., Mia, Anna and Kai, MaryAnn's five children and their families, his sister Geraldine Drago and her husband Steve of Florida, his sister in law, Mattie Lavezzoli and her husband Anthony of Monroe Twp. and his brother in law, Louis Ercole of Staten Island.  Also surviving are many extended family and friends.
