Obituary of Marie Catherine Kosko

On September 12, 2022, Marie Catherine Kosko (nee Grober), loving wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully at the age of 85. Marie was born on March 1, 1937 in New Brunswick, NJ to Nicholas and Josephine Grober. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Douglass College, Rutgers University in 1959, and taught physical education and health for over 35 years in the Middlesex Borough School System. On April 8, 1961 she married Thomas Kosko, and they raised two sons, Mark and Dean, in Middlesex before moving to Bridgewater and most recently she settled in Monroe Village in Monroe Township. 

Marie had a passion for Broadway shows, in particular Les Miserables, which she saw with her family multiple times. In her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and was known for her kind heart, infectious smile and compassionate spirit.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kosko.

She is survived by her two sons Mark (Dawn) Kosko of Egg Harbor Township, and Dean (Theresa) Kosko of Monroe Township; and her 5 grandchildren, Nicholas, Natalie, Thomas, Stephen and Annette.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday September 15, 2022 and 9:00-9:45 am on Friday September 16, 2022 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 - 732-521-0555.  Funeral services will begin at 9:45 am on Friday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:30 am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 followed by entombment in Resurrection Cemetery - Piscataway.
