Obituary of Carlene F Stanislawczyk

Please share a memory of Carlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On Saturday, August 27, 2022, Carlene F. Stanislawczyk, loving wife, sister, mother of four children, and Nana to her six grandchildren, passed away in her home after a long bought with pancreatic cancer. She was born on February 23, 1947, in Bangor, Maine to Carlton and Eileen Plummer

Carlene met her late husband, Edward, in 1965 on a blind date, while he was stationed at the Bangor Air Force Base in Maine. Three months later, on September 25, 1965, they married. In 1973, they settled in Monroe Township where they raised their four children. Carlene was a stay-at-home mom while her children were young and then ventured out into the workforce, eventually becomingHead Teller at the Howard Savings Bank in Monroe Township for many years. While at the bank, she became well known in the community for her enthusiastic senseof humor and chatty engagement.

As years went by, Carlene endured some serious health scares that tested her resolve and built an intense desire to live life to the fullest. She never complained or let it get the best of her, she faced them head-on and conquered them with grace and determination... Everyone she met, she embraced as her family, and they in turn would call her ‘Nana.’

Carlene loved to entertain, have big family gatherings for every holiday or event and, when her children were youngwould dance with them in the kitchen to Patsy Cline and the Everly Brothers! Carlene crocheted beautiful blanketsfor her loved ones, baked and decorated, like a seasoned pastry chef, delicious cakes for all occasions for anyone who asked. She made gift baskets during Christmas and crafted an array of gift items worthy of a specialty shop.

Carlene was funny, brave, vibrant, warm, loyal, and loving toward her family and everyone who met her. She loved being surrounded by her family, and more importantly, all her grandchildren! She was the ‘Best Nana Ever’ and wonderful in every way. She will be remembered in our hearts for her courage, strength, and love.

Carlene was predeceased by her loving husband Edward last year, her parents Carlton and Eileen, and her brother Billy.

Carlene is survived by her devoted and loving children Edward Stanislawczyk and his wife Barbra, Michelle Davis and her husband Mike, Lisa Stanislawczyk, and Erik Stanislawczyk and his wife Nicole. She is survived by her cherished grandchildren Rachel, Rebecca, Ryan, Cole, Kiley, and Bayley as well as her siblings Donald Plummer, Thomas Plummer, Sherry Glencross, Kathy Lewis and Timothy Plummer.
