Obituary of Gail E Dennen

Mrs. Gail E. Dennen, 75, Passed away on August 24, 2022, in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

Gail was born in Montclair, NJ to Kenneth and Elizabeth Molkenthin. She was raised in Nutley until going to Glassboro College. At Glassboro, she met her husband of 53 years Harold (Hal) Dennen III.

They then moved to Lakewood and later to Monroe Township where they remained raising their family until moving to Murrell’s Inlet SC in 2009.

Gail was a teacher in the Sayreville school system until she left that to become a full-time mom and homemaker. After her children were raised, she answered her calling to go back to teaching. She took on a position as the Director of the Gateway Christian Day School, affiliated with the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in East Brunswick.

Gail truly loved her position and fulfilled it with love and enthusiasm until she retired in 2008.

Gail was a knitter and enjoyed reading, and being at the beach. She also liked to watch baseball specifically the Yankees as well as Clemson football with her husband. Gail above all things loved to be with her grandchildren she enjoyed their presence and playing with them.

Gail is predeceased by her parents: Kenneth and Elizabeth Molkenthin and by her dear son, Kyle Dennen as well as her brother Kenneth Molkenthin.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harold Dennen III of Murrell’s Inlet, SC, her sister Lynn Hayn also of Murrell’s Inlet SC., as well as her sons, Jason Dennen of Boulder CO, Stuart Dennen of Hollywood Florida, and Gregory Dennen of Jamesburg. She also leaves behind a daughter; Melissa Ott and her husband Charles of Lopatcong. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Kylea and Sedona.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Twp. NJ 08831. (732) 521-0555.

A funeral will be held on September 8, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church located at 568 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Fernwood Cemetery, Forsgate Drive, Jamesburg, NJ 08831
