Obituary of Robert J. Allend

Robert J. Allend, 77, died on Saturday, July 16, 2022.  Robert was born in Jersey City, NJ, he resided Colonia, NJ, for forty-two years, before moving to Monroe Township, NJ in 2019.  Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  Robert was employed by Colgate Palmolive, Maxwell House, and Tropicana as an electrician, retiring in 2010. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants Football Team, New York Mets, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Team.  Robert enjoyed visiting the Jersey shore where he met his wife of 46 years Adele Allend.

 Robert is survived by his wife Adele Allend of Monroe Township, NJ, his son Joseph R. Allend of Colonia, NJ, his daughter Vanessa Allend of Westfield, NJ, his sister-in-law‘s, Letitia Alvino and Gen Belfiore, he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. 

Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday July 19, 2022, and 8:15-9:15 am on Wednesday July 20, 2022, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 9:15 am on Wednesday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:00 am at St. James the Less RC Church, 36 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg, NJ 08831 followed by interment in St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067. 

In lieu of flowers and for those who desire, memorial donations in Robert’s name can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
