Obituary of Stacy Ann Smith - Hayes

Stacy Ann Smith-Hayes, 49, passed away on June 23, 2022, at home in Jamesburg.

Stacy was born in Manhattan to Owen and Mavis Smith. She was raised in the Bronx and remained there with her children until moving to Jamesburg 17 years ago.

She worked as a teacher in New York and continued in New Jersey. She was employed by Montessori Learning House in Monroe Township, and then by Lightbridge Academy in East Windsor until 2022.

Stacy was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching basketball. She loved old-time television and watched episodes of The Jeffersons and Good Times over and over. Stacy really liked coffee and could be seen with a cup at almost any time of day. She was known to wear Uggs along with her jeggings and her much-loved hoop earrings. Her favorite store to shop at was Bath and Body Works. Stacy loved her kids the most and she will be sadly missed.

Stacy is predeceased by her father, Owen Smith, and her mother, Mavis Smith.

She is survived by, Eric Hayes, of Jamesburg, as well as their daughter, Courtnee Hayes, and their son, Jaiden Hayes, both of Jamesburg. She is also survived by her brother, Owen Smith, of Fort Lauderdale, and her sister, Maxine Saunders, of Queens. She had plenty of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held on July 16, 2022, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm located at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831, (732) 521-0555.

A private cremation was held under the care of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Inc.
