Obituary of Carol Ann Carino

Carol Ann (Barber) Carino, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at her home in Monroe Twp, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 70 years old.  Carol was born and raised in Colchester, Essex, England.  She came to the US in 1970 and settled in Monroe Twp. after meeting and marrying her husband Alfred Carino, who was stationed at RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge Air Base in East Anglia, England.

Carol was an Animal Behaviorist with an uncanny ability and gift to connect and speak with all creatures, especially canines, as evidenced by her self-made business, Carol’s Canines. Her life revolved around animals.  She cared for and bred champion show dogs, and earlier in her life, she was very involved in equine events.  Carol was extremely creative and artistic where her talents were exhibited in her beautiful, serene, picturesque garden.  

She was predeceased by her mother Myrtle Carpenter, her aunt and uncle, Stella Kettle and Bill Kettle.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Al Carino of Monroe Twp., her daughter, Janemarie Carino Fekete and her husband Donald Fekete of Keyport, her brother John Barber of Yorkshire, England, her cousin, Karl Kettle of Colchester, her beloved canines, Cinda, Silk, and Rheed, and many in laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Cremation will be private.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00pm to 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.  A memorial service will begin at the conclusion of the gathering hours at 4:00pm.
