Obituary of Curtis J. Peck, III
Curtis J. Peck, III passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022 at his home in The Ponds, Monroe Twp. He was 88 years old. Curtis was born in Jersey City and was raised in Roselle. He later lived in Milltown before moving to The Ponds, Monroe Twp. in 2014. In 1951, he graduated from Abraham Clark High School in Roselle and furthered his education at Union County College in Cranford. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He began his career in December 1959 as a draftsman working for NJ Bell Telephone Company and retired as a course developer in 1993. He was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the Deutscher Club in Clark, and the Italian American Club of The Ponds. His family meant everything to him and he cherished the time spent with them, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan (Robbins) Peck of The Ponds, Monroe Twp., two children, Jeffrey Curtis Peck of East Brunswick, and Kathleen Mercado and her husband Manuel of East Brunswick, one sister, Jeanette Peck of Union, and four grandchildren, Manuel John Mercado, Jeffrey T. Peck, Nicholas L. Mercado, and Amy M. Mercado.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral service will begin at the conclusion of the visiting hours at 2:00pm. A private cremation will follow the services.
