Obituary of Henryk Kotowicz
Henryk Kotowicz passed away peacefully on May 22, 2022, at home with his family at his side.
Henryk was born in Warsaw Poland to Kazimierz and Zofia Kotowicz. He was raised there until immigrating to the United States at age 16. He lived in Colonia among many of his family until moving to Fords. Henryk met and married his loving wife Jolanta and they lived in several areas of New Jersey as they raised their two children. They settled first in Port Monmouth and then finally in Manalapan. Henryk proudly served his country in the US Army.
Henryk was a kind and generous man; he loved his family dearly and did all he could for them. His kindness and generosity did not stop at family as he was a wonderful friend who went to great lengths to help anyone he met. He was a skilled craftsman who was able to do just about anything. He loved soccer and played it for most of his life. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast who loved to take long trips on his motorcycle to see different parts of the country. Henryk was a courageous fighter who did not know how to give up. He lived his life like that and fought pancreatic cancer with that same courage. He was a man of so many skills and beautiful attributes that it is hard to list them all.
Henryk was preceded in death by his Father Kazimierz Kotowicz and Sister Hanna Kizysztoszek.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Jolanta Kotowicz, his mother, Zofia Kotowicz of Somerset, his son Daniel Kotowicz of Perth Amboy, and his daughter Diana Scheffling, and her husband Spencer of Shrewsbury. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Chloe, and Zachary.
A visitation will be held on May 25, 2022, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831, (732) 521-0555.
A funeral Liturgy will be held on May 26, 2022, at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 100 Main Street, Helmetta, NJ 08831.
Burial will immediately follow the funeral liturgy at Holy Trinity Cemetery, 230-232 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831.
