Ann (Metzdorf) Dillon passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Parker at Monroe Nursing Home in Monroe Twp.  She was 105 years old.  Mrs. Dillon was born and raised in Paterson.  She later lived in Newton, NJ.  Later in life, she moved to Deerfield Beach, FL where she lived for 15 years prior to living in Denver, CO for 5 years.  She has resided in New York City since 2000.

She worked for Sparta Board of Education and Ridgewood Board of Education where she taught Kindergarten and First Grade.  She volunteered her time working at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens while living in Florida.  While in Denver, CO, she was on the board of the Bonfil-Stanton Foundation.  She also volunteered at the China Institute when she returned to New York City.

She participated in a longitudinal research study on Alzheimer's Disease at Columbia University.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Koren of New York City, her niece, Evelyn Jelliff of Sea Girt, NJ, and her nephew, William Metzdorf of Glendale, CA.

A private cremation is under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc.
