Obituary of Frank Serra
Frank Serra, 91, died on Tuesday March 22, 2022, at his residence in Freehold, NJ. Frank was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY he resided in downtown Brooklyn, East Flatbush and Manalapan, NJ, before moving to Freehold, NJ six years ago. Frank was employed by IBM for twenty-five years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed yoga, traveling, trips to New York City and eating good food…. slowly.
Frank is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Serra (2018) and his son Paul Serra (2019).
Frank is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Gorman and her husband William of Monroe Township, NJ, his daughter-in-law Debra Serra of Toms River, NJ, his three grandchildren, Christopher Targia and his wife Kara of East Brunswick, NJ, Jacqueline Serra and her fiancé Bob Sundermann of Brick, NJ, Paul Serra of Toms River, NJ and his great grandson, Theodore Targia.
Memorial Gathering will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township, NJ on Saturday March 26, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
