Obituary of Robert Toye

Robert Toye, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday March 18, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  Robert grew up in Spotswood, NJ before moving to Monroe Township, NJ forty-five years ago and he was very proud of his career as an electrician with IBEW Local 358. 

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Toye, sisters, Dolores Allocca, Marguerite Toye, Kathleen Castagna, brother, William Toye and his grandson, Joseph Schaffter. 

Robert is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Mary Toye, four children, Robert Toye, Jr. and his wife Erin, Patricia Lennan and her husband Daniel, Kristen Schaffter and her husband Robert and Kerry DeCarlo and her husband Vincent, eleven grandchildren, Connor, Cailin, Robert, Shawn, Cavan, Trey, Ryan, Dylan, Alex, Leah and Alexandra, his brother, James Toye and his wife Karen, his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Cavanaugh and his caregivers, Darlene Buzzel  and Sarah Macauley.    

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, and 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
