Obituary of Elaine Claire Weisman

Elaine Claire Weisman (formally Melman) was born August 26, 1921, in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Hannah Melman. She passed away on January 2nd, 2022 at the age of 100. 

After graduating from James Madison High School, she married the love of her life, Joseph Weisman in 1946. They welcomed two precious children into the world: Gary and Andrea. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Joseph who passed away in 1985. She retired to Clearbrook in Monroe Township, NJ for the last 35 years where she helped create the beginnings of a lively and vibrant community.

She is remembered fondly by her surviving family: Andrea Weisman (Manhattan, NY), daughter; Gary Weisman (Columbia, MO), son; Sandra Weisman (Columbia, MO), daughter-in-law; Laura Young (Cedar Rapids, IA), granddaughter; Pamela Weisman (Colorado Springs, CO), granddaughter, and Veronica Weisman (San Francisco, CA), granddaughter. 

Elaine was known for her quick wit, her unfailing elegance and classy style, the brightness she brought to the lives of her family and friends, and her veracity when playing cards or games. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
