Obituary of Frank Danniel Morse
Frank Morse was born at home on Dubois Ave in Staten Island on Jan 29th, 1945. He was the youngest of 6 children. His childhood was challenging, and he joined the Marines when he was 17 years old. He served his Country faithfully until he was honorably discharged in 1964.
Right before he deployed, he met the love of his life, Maria. In love, Maria and Frank courted for a short time and married on September 3rd, 1966.
Frank was embraced by Charlie and Tessie Galatro as one of their own children. He was immediately taken in as another son in a very large Italian family.
Frank and Maria started a family soon after they were married. They had their daughter Julianne, son Frankie and baby Valarie.
In 1967, he started working for ConEd at the entry-level and worked his way up to Control Board Operator. Frank attended college and earned his degree soon thereafter.
Frank was known to work crazy hours and was always willing to take on a shift to enable his family to prosper. In the early '90s, Frank wanted to try something new and became a custodial engineer in the NYC board of education. Frank worked two jobs to make sure that he was making the correct decision and retired from ConEd shortly thereafter.
Frank was always willing to help someone out. He would often help his father-in-law fix the cleaning machine, soda machine, and walk-in box. If you ever needed a hand, Frank was there to help.
When Frank became a school custodian, he found his passion. He loved working in the schools, making the place better for the children. Frank went above and beyond and even took the unconventional way.
Frank retired in 2006 from the schools. Around the same time, Frank and Maria bought their Florida home. Frank was always around with his humor and always had a story to share for a listening ear. He was known for his avid driving ability and can always be found in the fast lane. He was often seen with a flannel /Hawaiian shirt, a Starbucks coffee, a Perrier, and frequently gave a frankism quote.
If Frank knew that you liked something, you could be sure next time he saw you he had five of them waiting for you. He had a kind heart and a kinder soul.
Frank was loved more than he knew. He is survived by his wife Maria, Daughters Julianne and Valarie, son Frankie. He had 2 sons-in-law, Anthony (Angelo) and John, and 5 granddaughters Brianna, Alexis, Emily, Gianna, and Sophia. 3 grandsons Frankie, Johnny and Jimmy. He would also tell you that the ones who loved him most were his four-legged friends. Frank was never found without a treat in his pocket or a dog that didn't love him.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 10:15 am at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 333 Route 18 South in Old Bridge, N.J.
Burial will immediately follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, New Jersey
