John Leary passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his home in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp.  He was 84 years old.  Mr. Leary was born and raised in New York City.  He later lived in Jamaica, Queens, NY and has resided in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. since 1995.  He proudly served his country in the US Army and was an electrical engineer for Bell Laboratories in New York City for 30 years.  He was a member of the Monroe Twp. Board of Education, Past President and member of the Rossmoor Community Association, and served on the Middlesex Regional Education Service Commission.  John was an avid reader.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Michael and Mary (Downes) Leary, one sister, Evelyn Arcuni, and his step-son, James Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Christina (Faraci) Leary of Rossmoor, Monroe Twp., his son, Grant Leary, his step-daughter, Rachel Conte and her husband Joe, his brother, James Leary and his wife Pat, three step-grandchildren, Anthony, Chris, and Gina.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc.
