Obituary of William Paul Fabian

William P. Fabian, 69, passed away at home in Monroe Township on December 4, 2021.

 

He was born in New York City, New York , the son of Elmer and Otillie Fabian.

 

William grew up in Roselle, NJ. He became a proud Eagle Scout at the age of 13.

He was State President of the New Jersey Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of

America at Abraham Clark High School, Roselle. He proudly served his country in

the United States Army as a sergeant during the Vietnam Era.

 

William spent his entire working career at the Morey LaRue Laundry Co. in Linden, NJ.

Starting as a summer route driver at the age of 17, he became a salesman in uniform

rental and later became the sales manager.  After learning all aspects of the trade, he

was named President of the company.  He later served as a consultant to the Todd Harris

Co. in Edison, NJ.

 

He was active in fathers’ clubs as well as the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts throughout his children’s lives.

 

William will be remembered for his generosity with his resources as well as his spirit.

He truly embodied the qualities of the Boy Scout Law: trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

 

William is predeceased by his parents.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen

(Toner) Fabian of Monroe Township, as well as his cherished children: Seana Fabian of

Princeton, Matt and Michelle Fabian of Basking Ridge, and Mark and Dani Fabian of

Staten Island, his beloved granddaughter Megan, his dog Charlie, and grand dogs Baxter, Bailey, Mackenzie and Maggie. He also leaves behind many dear friends and relatives.

 

A memorial gathering will be held at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Inc., 

205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Township 08831 (732) 521-0555 on Friday, December 10,

2021 from 9:00 am to11:00 am, immediately followed by a prayer service. A private cremation was held under the care of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of William to: Trial Blazers for

Kids, Inc., 14 Surrey Lane, Livingston, NJ 07039, which is dedicated to finding cures for

pediatric cancers
