Obituary of Pietro Cappello

Pietro Cappello, 56, died on Wednesday November 24, 2021.  Pietro was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.  He resided with his family in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and City Island, NY.  Pietro was an engineer in the IT field.  Pietro’s interests were many. They included his family, friends, music, robotics, 3D printing, baking, cooking, gardening, building, science, engineering and new technologies.

Pietro was preceded in death by his mother, Maria (Bisconti) Cappello.

Pietro is survived by his father, Jack Cappello, his loving wife, Lisa (Radford) Cappello, his two children, Jack and Chloe Cappello, and his sisters, Cristina Zito, and her husband Benny and Iggie Rasmussen and her husband Mark.  Also surviving are his nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, December 3, 2021, at St. James the Less RC Church, 36 Lincoln Ave, Jamesburg, NJ.

There will be a celebration of Pietro’s life on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 2 Fawn Court, Monroe Township, NJ, 08831 from 12 PM until 6 PM. (Iggie & Mark’s house)

Pietro has requested Recompose as an alternative to burial and cremation.  This process is a natural organic reduction to gently transform human remains into soil. This soil can be used to regenerate the earth and create new life.
