Obituary of Scott Allen Squaires
Scott Allen Squaires passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro. He was 50 years old. Scott was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He graduated from Niagara University where he played Division I Baseball as a pitcher. He resided in Brooklyn, NY for 10 years before moving to South Brunswick Twp. in 2002. He had a passion for coaching softball and basketball which allowed him to coach his two daughters and other girls on his teams for many years. Scott also enjoyed being able to go fishing any chance he had.
He was predeceased by his father, Gary Squaires.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Melissa (O'Brien) Squaires of South Brunswick Twp., two daughters, Nina Squaires, and Ella Squaires both of South Brunswick Twp., his mother, Betsy Squaires of Lewiston, NY, two sisters, Michelle Gabriele and her husband Mark of Lewiston, NY, and Sherry Showalter and her husband Steve of Charlotte, NC, his mother-in-law, Sandra O'Brien of Brooklyn, NY, nine nieces and nephews, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be from 2-5pm on Sunday, November 14, 2021 and from 8:45am-9:15am on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Monday from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at St. Cecilia's RC Church, 10 Kingston Ln. Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852. A private cremation will follow the mass.
