Obituary of Anthony J. Felix

Anthony J. 'Grandpa' Felix, 96, passed away on Saturday October 23, 2021 at his residence in Jamesburg surrounded by his family.  Anthony was born in Hagerstown, MD and resided in Yonkers, NY for most of his life.  He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy and received the silver and bronze star for his distinguished service.  Anthony was employed as a plant manager for the Yonkers Post Office for 33 years until his retirement in 1986.  He was a member of the American Legion in Jamesburg and the Elks in Yonkers.  

Anthony was preceded in death by his wife Margaret A. Felix (2004), four brothers and four sisters.  

He is survived by four sons: Anthony J. Felix, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Jamesburg, Edward F. Felix of Carmel, NY, Joseph J. Felix and his wife Marie of Flanders and Robert J. Felix and his significant other Donna of Staten Island, thirteen grandchildren: James, JoAnn, Jessica, Christopher, Joseph, Laura, Gillian, Erin, Alyane, Claire, Victoria, Gabrielle and Robert and four great grandchildren: Ryleigh Margaret, Jameson Douglas, Madison Frances and Marigold.  

Visitation will be 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm on Wednesday October 27, 2021 and 9-10 am on Thursday October 28, 2021 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 - 732-521-0555.  Funeral services will begin at 10 am on Thursday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:30 am at St. James the Less RC Church - 36 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg, NJ  08831 followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum - South Brunswick.
