Obituary of Joy Neuhaus

Joy Neuhaus – Monroe Township, NJ

Joy Neuhaus, 84, died peacefully on Monday September 6, 2021, at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ.  Joy was born in Totowa Borough, NJ and raised in Fairlawn, NJ.  She resided in Roselle Park, NJ, after she was married and raised her family in Sayrewood South, NJ and Manalapan, NJ. She spent her retirement years in Monroe Township, NJ for the past seventeen years.  Joy worked in the banking industry as supervisor for many years, before becoming a homemaker, where she took great pride in raising her three children.  She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and flower arranging.  Joy’s greatest delight came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Joy is preceded in death by her sister, Louise Knust.

Joy is survived by her loving husband Ralph W. Neuhaus of Monroe Township, NJ, her son, Robert Neuhaus and his wife Orania of Lincoln Park, NJ, her two daughters, Lauren Matter of Mullica Hill, NJ, Carolyn Canavan of Helmetta, NJ, her brother, Neil Garrabrant and his wife Patricia of Pueblo, CO, and her six grandchildren, Connor, Alexander, Brandon, Andrew, Victoria and Bryan and several nieces and a nephew.

Visitation will be 4-7 pm on Sunday September 12, 2021, and 9-10 am on Monday September 13, 2021, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 10am on Monday September 13, 2021, followed by interment in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
