Carmela (Giambrone) Nicholson, 93, passed away on Friday August 27, 2021 at The Elms of Cranbury.  Carmela was born in Staten Island and lived there most of her life before moving to Monroe Twp. In 2004.  Carmela was employed as a dietician at Eger Nursing Home on Staten Island for 25 years.  She was a member of the “Seniors” and Christian Fellowship groups at Concordia and enjoyed playing bocce ball. 

Carmela was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nicholson (1976) and recently by her partner, Roland Deschaine (2021), four brothers: Joseph, Jack, Salvatore and Charles Giambrone and two sisters: Elizabeth DeFede and Rose Cesario. 

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. 

A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am on Tuesday August 31, 2021 at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 followed by a private cremation.  Interment of cremated remains will be 11:00 am on Friday September 3, 2021 in Moravian Cemetery – 2205 Richmond Rd., Staten Island, NY  10306.  Full arrangements are under the direction of the M.
