Obituary of Regina Simon

Our Mother, Regina Simon, 92, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the Princeton Medical Center.  She was born in Ernakulam, India, on September 23, 1929, to Mathew Manuel and Philomena Manuel. She married Simon Gonsalves in the year 1945 and lived most of her years in Kerala, India.  She migrated to the US over 40 years ago.  She was initially residing in New York and eventually moved to New Jersey and was currently living in Monroe Twp., NJ.  She was a homemaker, as well as a strong pillar and strength to her family.   

Regina Simon is preceded in death by her husband, Simon Gonsalves.  She is survived by her five children, their spouses, fifteen grandchildren, and their spouses, and seventeen great-grandchildren.  She is preceded by two siblings and survived by two other siblings.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and on Monday June 28, 2021 from 8:15 to 9:15 am at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831 - 732-521-0555.  Funeral Services will begin at 9:15 am on Monday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:00, am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831 followed by interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, 127-15 Kew Gardens Rd, Queens, NY 11415.
