Ronald E. Thomsen, 79, passed peacefully on Thursday June 3, 2021 at The Samaritan Center in Mount Holly, NJ. Ronald was born in Rochester, IN and resided in East Windsor and Monroe Twp., NJ before moving to Columbus, NJ fifteen years ago. Ronald received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Rutgers University. He was employed by Mobile Oil for twenty-eight years as an accountant. After retirement, Ronald owned and operated the Cranbury News Service in Monroe Twp. Ronald enjoyed landscaping, music, movies, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Virginia (Smith) Thomsen of Columbus, NJ, three daughters: Cherie Finn and her husband Jeffrey of Sarasota, FL, Robin McAllister of Levittown, NY and Jennifer Taylor and her partner Michael Campbell of Ringgold, GA. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Thomsen and his wife Helen of Skillman, NJ, one sister, Kathleen Thomsen, MD of Pennington, NJ and seven grandchildren: Maxwell and Chelsea Finn, Patrick, Liam and Ryan McAllister, Georgia, and Jackson Taylor and one great grandson, Quinlan Finn.
