Obituary of Andrzej S. Stankiewicz

Andrzej S. Stankiewicz passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his home in Monroe Twp.  He was 64 years old.  Andrzej was born and raised in Wabrzezno, Poland.  He attended and completed his education in Poland where he received a technical degree in typesetting.  He moved to Wloclawek, and soon after joined the military.  Andrzej met and married his wife, Irena and they began their family together.  They came to the US during the early 1990's and settled in Elizabeth.  Later, they moved to Monroe Township.

Andrzej began his career as a typesetter and worked for a newspaper printing company in Poland.  After moving to the United States, he worked first as a line worker and later became a supervisor for Adjmi Apparel Group in East Brunswick.  Most recently, he worked in the Hyundai Mobis Warehouse. Andrzej enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and adored his grandchildren.  He loved music, especially Pink Floyd.  He was also an avid reader and enjoyed fishing and sudoku.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Irena Stankiewicz of Monroe Twp., three children, Tom Stankiewicz and his wife Ani of Union, Mariusz Stankiewicz and his wife Monica Grabowski of East Brunswick, and Kasia Stankiewicz of Rahway, four grandchildren, Sabrina, Luke, William, and Sofia, four siblings, Lidia Homa and her husband Marian, Edward Kolodziej and his wife Denise, Stanley Kolodziej, and Margaret Drozdzewicz and her husband Bogdan, and many other beloved family members.

A memorial gathering will be from 2-4pm on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.  A Catholic blessing will begin at the conclusion of the gathering hours at 4:00pm at the funeral home.
