Obituary of Louis Orlando
Louis Orlando, 90, of Monroe Twp., passed away on Monday, May 17th, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Lou was born in Genoa, a section of Old Bridge Township, to Anthony and Rose Orlando. He was one of nine sisters and brothers and lived in Genoa until he met his wife of 57 years Barbara (Curry) Orlando in Matawan. After being married, they moved to Monroe Twp. where they have lived ever since. Lou was a union mason for over forty years, who owned and operated his own masonry company, Orlando Bros. Inc. located in Cliffwood Beach NJ. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Sergeant prior to his discharge in 1955. Lou loved to do yard work and landscaping around his house, he liked to bowl when he was younger but was mostly dedicated to the family that he loved.
Lou was predeceased by his dear parents Anthony and Rose as well as his sisters and one brother.
Lou is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Orlando of Monroe Twp., and his brother Anthony and his wife Jacqueline of Matawan. Lou is also survived by his dedicated brother-in-law, Kenneth, and his wife Andrea Curry of Plainsboro as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 24th, 2021 between 8:30am and 10:00am at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., located at 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, (732) 521-0555. Funeral services will begin from the Funeral Home at 10:00am followed by a Funeral Liturgy held at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan Road, Spotswood, NJ.
