Obituary of Robert T. McLaughlin

Robert T. McLaughlin passed away on Thursday March 18, 2021 at his home in Encore, Monroe Twp.  He was 91 years old.  Mr. McLaughlin was born and raised in New York City.  He later lived in Brooklyn, NY and Ozone Park, Queens, NY before moving to Mineola, LI, NY where he lived for 45 years.  He has resided in Encore, Monroe Twp. since 2003.  He served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was a Special Agent in Charge for the NCIS for 35 years and later worked as a Security Director for Fairchild Republic.  He retired in 1985.  He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Aidan's RC Church in Williston Park, LI, NY, where he was also a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus in Council 2502.  Upon residing in Monroe Twp., he became a member of the Nativity of Our Lord RC Church and belonged to their Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council 14658, and he also served as a Eucharistic Minister.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Grace (Bellew) McLaughlin of Encore, Monroe Twp., two children, Eileen Mancuso and her husband Joseph of North Brunswick Twp., and Robert J. McLaughlin and his wife Patricia of Guilderland, NY, seven grandchildren, Joseph Mancuso and his wife Nina, Matthew Mancuso, Timothy Mancuso and his wife Julie, Robert L. McLaughlin and his wife Ali, Maggie McLaughlin, James McLaughlin, and Patrick McLaughlin, four great grandchildren, Serena, Giovanni, Briella, and Deanna, and many other extended family members.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Sunday March 21, 2021 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.  A funeral liturgy will be 11:00 am on Monday March 22, 2021 at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick Twp.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions placed on gatherings and activities, all current guidelines are to be observed during visitations, including the use of face coverings and social distancing.
