Obituary of Janos Bojtos
Janos Bojtos passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Brookdale Monroe. He was 84 years old. He was born in Hungary, came to the US in 1956, and settled in New Brunswick. He later lived in North Brunswick for many years before moving to Rossmoor, Monroe Twp., in 2001. He was a self-employed, skilled Mason and Contractor. He was a proud Past-President and life-long member of the Hungarian American Athletic Club of New Brunswick. He was an avid soccer fan, player, and coach. Following suffering a debilitating stroke 24 years ago, he remained a world traveler, a gardener, and a videographer.
He was predeceased by his wife Margaret 'Peggy' (Cuddy) Bojtos in 2020, and his sister Erzsébet Racz.
Janos is survived by his three children: Margaret Reville and her husband Anthony of North Brunswick, Janos Bojtos and his wife Linda of Bridgewater, and Elizabeth Giampietro and her husband Joseph of Lavallette, seven grandchildren: Michelle, Anthony, Andrew, Angela, Johnny, Kate, and Dennis, his sister: Ilona Czekus of Hungary, and many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:15 am on Monday, March 1, 2021, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 10:15am from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 11:00am at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, 277 Washington Place, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 followed by Interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick Twp.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions placed on gatherings and activities, all current guidelines are to be observed during visitations, including the use of face coverings and social distancing.
