One summer I found the strangest caterpillar in my father's yard. This was before Google and the internet, so who better to ask then Mr Kutz. I stopped in at his house, and when Mr Kutz came to the door he had the biggest smile and asked yes Patrick how can I help you? This was years after being in his classroom.... I was so happy he remembered me, and smiled... Thank you Sir I'll always remember that smile.

Mr. Kutz was one of my favorite teachers at Applegarth. I always looked forward to his class every day. I was afraid of learning science due to teachers in my past but he made it fun to learn and always took his time to make you feel special if you needed help. He will be missed. So sorry for your loss of this great man!! Prayers to you all at this time!!

Sorry to hear about Jack passing. I so enjoyed working with him at Applegarth School. He was always kind to me and appreciated a homegrown Monroe girl who had done well. I ran into him a few years ago at a favorite breakfast spot of ours in Long Branch. He was with several of his buddies. I got to chat and catch up. Pleasant memories.
Condolences to Darren, Jeannie, Zach, and Erin.

Although I never met Jack, I can see the kind of man he was in the friendship I have with his son, Darren. Darren had a great role model in his dad and often speaks fondly of him.
May God grant him rest and a place in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jack was not only a role model for his students but also for his fellow teachers. Jack was everything good about being "old school".
He was consistently fair with his students' best interests always his prioity. With Jack, "What you see is what you got" as he was always honest and straight forward in his dealings with his students and colleagues. Jack was an original in so many ways and one of the pillars who set a high standard for Monroe education

My condolences to the family of a wonderful man! He was my favorite teacher as I am sure many are saying that. He taught us how special we all were ! He knew my mom also from School #3 and came to see me when my parents passed to pay his respects...He will always be fondly remembered.
