Obituary of George A Marotta
Dr. George A. Marotta, Age 87 years passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his home in Monroe Township.
Born in New York City, to Nicholas and Modesta (Viggiano) Marotta he lived there until moving to South Brunswick, and then to New Brunswick before settling in Monroe Township.
Dr. Marotta was employed by the Sayreville Board of Education, Sayreville, NJ for over forty years retiring in the mid 1990’s as a supervisor of mathematics.
He was a proud member of the New Jersey Education Association as well the Sayreville Education Association.
George loved traveling, going to the theater as well as the opera, he also enjoyed old movies, and most of all his dog, Skippy.
George is preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Modesta Viggiano Marotta. He is survived by his brother Patrick and his wife Barbara of Kernersville, NC; his aunt Theresa and her husband Fred DelSanto of Monroe Twp., NJ, as well as his niece Carole and nephews David and John.
The family would like to thank Theresa and Fred DelSanto for the special love and care that they gave George throughout his declining health.
