Obituary of Ralph Eugene Byrne

 Mr. Ralph E. Byrne age 75 of Monroe Twp. Passed away peacefully on January 12, 2021 at Penn Medical center in Plainsboro.

 Ralph was born in Rock Island Illinois to Franklin Le Roy Byrne and Gladys Frances Byrne. He lived in Rock the Rock Island area until moving to Chicago and Connecticut and has been a resident of New Jersey since 1995. Ralph was an insurance executive and worked for several companies before retiring in 2018 even though he remained a consultant up until his passing.  Ralph was an avid golfer; he travelled to Ireland and Scotland to play and was a member of Forsgate Country Club and Old York Country Club.  Ralph loved to play cards, watch N.A.S.C.A.R. and “Da Bears” football team. He also loved frequenting New Jersey’s racetracks in Flemington, and Wall Township as well as traveling and cruising.    

 Ralph is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Claren Jean, his son, Ryan Byrne, and his sister Rosie Byrne. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Dawn Schutt and her husband Mark of Loveland, CO., a son Michael Trick and his wife Patty of Avon, CT., sisters-in-law; Joan Bradley of Norton Shores, MI., Jo Lynn Bellaire of Cordova, TN., five grandchildren; Jennifer, Jason, Jill, Tjarna and Kierra, as well as many friends and extended family.

A private cremation was held under the supervision of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home.

There will be a graveside service and internment held on Friday January 22,2021 at 3:00 pm in Connecticut at Simsbury Cemetery located at: 16 Plank Hill Road, Simsbury, CT, 06070
