Dorothy B. (DeMarco) Tjepkema, 94, passed away on Tuesday January 5, 2021 at her residence in Monroe Twp.  Dorothy was born in Hoboken and lived in Hollis Queens, Bellerose Queens, Brooklyn and Lindenhurst, LI before finally settling in Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 2004.  She was a dressmaker and worked for several different employers during her career.  She retired in 1967.  

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Howard P. Tjepkema (1967), her daughter in law, Bonnie Tjepkema (2010) and her sister, Marie Coiro (2017).

She is survived by her two sons: Ronald Tjepkema of Queens and Steven Tjepkema of Babylon, LI, her sister, Viola Laiso of Clearbrook, Monroe Twp., two grandchildren: Shaun Tjepkema and Shanna Murphy and her husband Mark and two great grandchildren: Owen and Olivia Murphy.  

Visitation will be 8:30-10:15 am on Friday January 8, 2021 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  A funeral liturgy will be 11am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 followed by entombment in The Evergreens Cemetery - 1629 Bushwick Ave., Brooklyn, NY  11207.
