Obituary of Nicholas M Galante

Nicholas M. Galante, 85, passed away on Friday December 11, 2020 at his residence in Monroe Township.  Nicholas was born and raised in Brooklyn.  He lived in Staten Island before moving to Stonebridge, Monroe Twp. in 2009.  Nicholas worked as a printer for the NY Typographical Union #6 in New York City for 31 years.  He also worked for Hanley Funeral Home in Staten Island.  Nicholas was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church in Monroe Twp.  and was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #14658.  Nicholas enjoyed bowling, softball and being with friends and family in his spare time.  He would always put a smile on our faces with his "corny" jokes.  Nicholas was a very kind person and would always lend a hand without hesitation.  

Nicholas is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Annette (Ajello) Galante of Monroe Twp., two daughters: Catherine Burton and her husband Frank of Manalapan and Jennifer Vella and her husband Frank of Monroe Twp., one sister, Nancy Ferretti of Melbourne, FL and six grandchildren: Christina, Sam, Angela, Nick, Chris and Chase.

Visitation will be 7-9 pm on Tuesday December 15, 2020 and 8:45-9:45 am on Wednesday December 16, 2020 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 - 732-521-0555.  Funeral services will begin at 9:45 am on Wednesday December 16, 2020 from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:30 am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 followed by interment in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery - Wrightstown.
