Obituary of John D. Gasko, Jr.

John D. Gasko, Jr. (“Johnny”) passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born on June 29, 1954, in Neptune, New Jersey. He was a hardworking man who grew up and spent his life farming the land he loved. Johnny was a devoted husband and father. He recently became a grandfather to two beautiful grandsons. He had a passion for racing, loved NASCAR and going to races with his son. He also had a softer side and enjoyed watching Hallmark movies. He was a fixture at the New Jersey farmer’s markets, including Perth Amboy, Englishtown and most recently the Collingwood Flea Market. 

He is survived by his adoring wife, Linda Gasko; his son, Johnny Gasko, wife, Allie and their son, John; and his daughter Jaimee Gomez, husband, Kevin, and their son, Oliver.  He also leaves behind his sister, Kathleen Boehm, her husband, Tom; his sister, Linda Weikers, her husband, Robert and many nieces and nephews. Johnny was predeceased by his parents, John, Sr. and Evelyn Gasko. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

Visitation will be 4-8pm on Tuesday November 3, 2020 and 10-11am on Wednesday November 4, 2020 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  A funeral service will be 11am on Wednesday at the funeral home followed by interment in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
