Obituary of Maria T. Pannizzo

Maria (Mary) T. Pannizzo, 94, died peacefully on Friday September 25, 2020 at the Gardens @ Monroe.  Maria was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she resided there for most of her life before moving to Leisure Village West, Manchester, NJ, until 2017 when she moved to Monroe Township, NJ.  Maria was a homemaker and took great pride in raising her family.  She was an incredibly talented seamstress, loved bowling, cards, mahjong, and cooking great food for her family.    

Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Pannizzo (2001), her grandson, Alexander Pannizzo (2015) and her five siblings: Carl, Michael, John, Sara and Emelia.

Maria is survived by her three sons: Peter Pannizzo of New Fairfield, CT., Joseph Pannizzo and his wife Elisa daSilva-Pannizzo of Millstone, NJ, Vincent Pannizzo of Brick, NJ, two daughters; Rosemary Cusumano of Woodstock, GA., Emelia Marcus and her husband Matthew of Westfield, NJ, twelve grandchildren; Christopher (Deborah) Cusumano, Gregory (Kelly) Cusumano, Marissa (Sly) King, Christina (James) Kline, Matthew Marcus, Phillip (Roseanne) Pannizzo, Peter (Betsy) Pannizzo, Carmine Panizzo, Joseph Pannizzo, Vincent Pannizzo, Daniella Pannizzo, eight greatgrandchildren; Heath, Quentin, Hudson, Dylan, Franchesca, Luca, Leonardo and Salvatore.      

Visitation will be 2-4pm & 7-9pm on Tuesday September 29, 2020 and 8:30am – 9:00am on Wednesday September 30, 2020 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 - 732-521-0555.  Funeral services will begin at 9:00am on Wednesday September 30, 2020 from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 9:45am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Road – Monroe Township, NJ 08831 followed by interment in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery – 350 Province Line Road – Wrightstown, NJ.
