Obituary of Carol Jean Reed

Carol Jean (Bell) Reed, 80, of Monroe Twp. passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge.  Carol was born and raised in Metuchen where she lived for most of her life before moving to Hightstown and finally settling in Monroe Twp. in 1977.  She was a biology and chemistry teacher at Franklin Twp. High School for 6 years and then St. Mary's High School in South Amboy for 25 years until her retirement.  She also worked for Middlesex County as a home instruction educator.  Carol was an avid glass collector for many years.  Most of all Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  Carol was a long time parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Spotswood.  

Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Jaclyn Ann Hall (2020).

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Glenn Reed of Monroe Twp., two sons: Thomas E. Reed and his wife Allison of Freehold and Martin G. Reed and his wife Susan of Middletown, her daughter Mary Ann Reed of Monroe Twp. and four grandchildren: Haidyn, Jack, Matthew and Chloe.  Also surviving are many extended family and friends.  

Funeral services are private and are being held under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.
