Obituary of John A. Bielat

John A. Bielat passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at his home in Helmetta.  He was 88 years old.  John was born, raised, and was a life-long resident of Helmetta.  He served during the Korean Conflict in the US Army.  He was employed as a staff manager for Washington National and Monumental Life Insurance Co. in Freehold for nearly 40 years and retired in 1997.  He was a long-time active member of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Spotswood.  He was a devoted family man and cherished the time spent with them.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, John and Helen Bielat, and two brothers, Walter, and Paul.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia Elizabeth (Taskowitz) Bielat of Helmetta, four children, John G. Bielat and his wife Beth of Andover, ME, Donna L. Furino and her husband Ralph of Monroe Twp., Gregory W. Bielat and his wife Catherine of Branchburg, Mark P. Bielat of Ocean Twp., one sister-in-law, Kathy Bielat of TN, eight grandchildren, Sean Bielat and his wife Melissa, Shannon Kane and her husband Ryan, April Furino, Gregory Bielat, Kelly Furino, Sara Bielat, Rose Bielat, and Brandon Bielat, five great-grandchildren, Adella Kane, Josephine Bielat, John Bielat, Owen Kane, and Eloise Bielat, and many other extended family members.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, and from 9:15 am to 9:45 am on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831.  Funeral services will begin at 9:45 am on Wednesday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Spotswood followed by Interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick Twp.
