Obituary of Frederick A. Angley

Frederick A. Angley, 90, of Brewster, NY passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020.  Fred was born and raised in New York City.  He moved to Matawan in 1962 and lived in various towns in New Jersey including Red Bank and West Windsor before moving to The Ponds in Monroe Twp. in 1990 and finally settling in Brewster, NY 13 years ago.  He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Germany.  He received his Bachelor's of Science from NYU while attending night school and raising his first 6 of 12 children.  He was employed as an insurance broker for Marsh, Inc., and AON until his retirement in 1995. He was a devoted member of the Roman Catholic organization, Opus Dei and lived his life and raised his family according to their principles.  He was an active parishioner and member of the choir at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church in Monroe Twp.  He enjoyed spending time painting and listening to opera and classical music.  He also loved spending the afternoons watching the NY Giants and Yankees.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Angley (2007), three brothers: Robert, Edward and Richard and one sister, Edna.

He is survived by 12 children:  Fred Angley of Pennington, David Angley and his wife Nancy of Brewster, NY, Tom Angley and his wife Helene of West Windsor, Jim Angley and his wife Patti of Mamaroneck, NY, Chris Angley and his wife Barbara of Howell, Peter Angley and his wife Lillian of Levittown, NY, Joan Peete and her husband Leonard of Castle Rock, CO, Patricia Kendall of Cortland, NY, Robert Angley and his wife Michelle of Long Valley, Michael Angley of Ewing, Danielle Angley of Melbourne, FL and Sean Angley of Boulder, CO, 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are many extended family and friends.  

Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Wednesday July 1, 2020 and 8-8:45am on Thursday July 2, 2020 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Thursday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 9:30 am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church - 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. 

In lieu of flowers and for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center - www.giving.mskcc.org.
