Oh Boo Boo, I wished Sparky a HB today and she told me that you passed away.(by way of Karen) I was so sad that I could not work for a few hours as I could not stop crying. I lost touch with you in a few years ago. You called me and left messages that I did not return. I met you at Mt St Ursula in 1975 and we had a great friendship. You always gave me strength and encouragement to carry on. I will miss you and I love you.

Our deepest sympathy to the Zeich and Barry families. A memory that stands out in my mind, and Sheila and I have laughed about it often, was when she babysat for our daughter Erin when she was a baby. We all lived in Fordham Hill at the time snd Sheila took Erin for a walk in her umbrella stroller on Fordham Rd. The stroller broke and Sheila carried Erin snd the stroller all the way home. Sheila was beside herself thinking it was her fault. Sheila was loving and caring and will be missed terribly. Janet and Tom Collins

Sheila was a beautiful, strong soul. She had flare and for that I coined her the nick name, ”she she Von she she”. She never complained and enjoyed great family/friends and get togethers. I picture Sheila smiling and miss her soul here with us ... seems like a hero is gone, but happy for her to be peaceful. I love you Sheila! - Tamara Koval

I pray for peace and comfort for her loved ones, knowing that she is home with our Lord.

It will be harder to continue life's journey without Sheila's strength, caring, wisdom and insights, humor and laughter...but, most of all, her abiding faith and love. I believe she will continue to be a very special blessing in our lives, and I pray she is dancing with joy with our loving Lord, along with family and friends who've waited to welcome her with eternal peace and everlasting love. My prayers for God's comfort go out to everyone who loved her, especially her family. May God bless you all! - Jeanne

Sheila was a gem. She liked to laugh and share stories, she also had very keen insights. We had many fun times together and lots of great conversations. We shared a love of the “old” tv show “Lost in Space” and I know she was a big fan of Mary Poppins. She was all about family, loyalty and perseverance. She was my big cousin first and then my good friend. I am going to miss her dearly but I know she’s up there smiling down, feeling peaceful and joyfully reuniting with her Dad and so many loved ones. May she Rest In Peace. Love you Sheila!

Sheila always asked how I was doing. Knowing how difficult her own health issues have been for so many years, she bypassed that, and wanted to know how everyone else was doing. She always sent pictures of her daughter at Halloween in the best costumes. She was caring and a true Barry. I am sad to know she has left this world, but I know she is being welcomed by her dad, my sister, and many other Barry family members. My prayers are with you all.
