Obituary of Frank Seery
Francis W. Seery, 88, of Elizabeth passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Gardens at Monroe in Monroe Twp. Frank was born and raised in Elizabeth and lived there for most of his life before moving to Princeton 3 years ago. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War and then in the US Coast Guard. Frank was with the Elizabeth police department for 37 years until his retirement as captain in 1994. During his career, he was part of the police detail that handled the Robert Kennedy funeral procession. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Genevieve's RC Church in Elizabeth where he was very active. He was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles.
Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Margie, two brothers, Richard and Ned and his sister, Catherine.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Virginia (Burke) Seery of Princeton, three children, Sharon Hoffman and her husband Bob of Kendall Park, Sheila Meetre and her husband Steve of Cocoa Beach, FL, and Timothy Seery and his wife Thalia of Hernando, FL, seven grandchildren: Suzanna, Josh, Ben, Jake, Luke, Zach and Sam.
