Obituary of Giovanna Randone

Giovanna (Busacca) Randone died on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, surrounded by her loving family, as St. Mary, Mother of Jesus, wrapped her loving arms around her in heaven, granting her peace. She was 72 years old. Giovanna was born and raised in Licodia Eubea, Sicily, Italy, later moving to Melbourne, Australia, and to Brooklyn, NY. She resided in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn for 45 years, before moving to Monroe Township, NJ. She worked professionally as a seamstress for nearly three decades, while lovingly raising her three children. Giovanna was bi-lingual, and she spoke Italian and English. Giovanna lived for her family, and she was dedicated to her Roman Catholic faith. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Domenico Randone of Monroe Township; a daughter, Fran and her husband David Fanslau of Rock Hill, NY; a daughter, Lucia Randone Toss of Old Bridge; a son, Gianmario Randone of Freehold; three grandsons, Matthew Fanslau, Joshua Fanslau, and Dylan Toss, a granddaughter, Ashley Toss; a sister Maria, and her husband, Sam Cassebene of Melbourne, Australia; a sister, Enza, and her husband, Carmelo Divita, of Melbourne, Australia; a sister, Antoinette, and her husband, Tony Piscitello, of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn; and many loving nephews and nieces. Giovanna’s family will cherish her in their hearts forever, because of her impeccable character, strong faith, empathy for others, and humility in life. She will be their special angel, keeping watch, supporting them, and protecting them. Visitation will be 1-5pm on Sunday December 29, 2019 and 8:15-9:15am on Monday December 30, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 on Monday from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:15am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, Old Bridge followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
